This individual would oversee the day-to-day operations of production services at the Nashua Center for the Arts (Nashua, NH) with occasional support of our other managed venues in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.

The Manager, Production Services would primarily be responsible for advancing events, managing crew calls, event estimating & invoicing, ensuring compliance with budgets, and occasionally filling in as a lead tech for events. This role will also support the Director, Production Services with ensuring maintenance of venue equipment, venue enhancements, cost management, and other tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Equipment Knowledge – While bringing baseline knowledge of touring concert grade audio, lighting, and/or video equipment, this individual will develop a knowledge of the venue’s in house equipment and logistical constraints to produce high quality events.
  • Advancing – Coordinate all technical aspects of audio, lighting, video, staging, and other needs to ensure the artistical & technical requirements are met for performers or event organizers, while fitting into venue and budgetary constraints.
  • Crew Lead – Scheduling crew needs to ensure proper staffing levels, while finding budget efficiencies. Supervise all assign staff to ensure all work is done to organizational expectations and that all safety standards are met.
  • Inventory Management – Collaborating with the Director, Production Services to ensure efficient levels of consumable inventory, maintain the venue’s physical inventory of equipment, and ensure a proper schedule of repairs, maintenance, and updates are done.
  • Safety and Compliance – Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, including those related to technical equipment, crowd management, and a generally healthy working environment.

Qualifications

  • Required proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a live performance venue or with a touring performer.
  • Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in sound recording technology, theatre management, or applicable degrees.
  • Strong knowledge of the Grand MA lighting console & Yamaha CL5 Audio board or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of video projection.
  • Strong knowledge of staging and rigging.
  • Strong knowledge of crew management.
  • Financial knowledge of budget management, event profit & loss statements, and the general music or event business.
  • Ability to independently think through complex problems in a fast-paced event, while respecting company standards, venue limitations, and budgetary constraints.
  • Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as event schedule dictates.
