Safe Haven Ballet is thrilled to bring our spirited, full-length ballet of The Nutcracker to The Historic Park Theatre in Cranston! This dynamic performance includes all of your favorite characters including a strong-minded Clara to the eccentric Drosselmeyer, the spooky Rats, as well as our beloved Sugarplum Fairy danced by artistic director, Lissa Curtis. In the Land of Sweets you will be introduced to a variation unique to Safe Haven Ballet called The Brave American. Come sing and clap along to this spirited, patriotic piece! SHB is located in beautiful Portsmouth, New Hampshire and exists to offer free trauma sensitive classes to survivors of sexual/domestic violence and trauma. Many of these brave survivors will be in the production as they help bring the magic of the season to you. We would love your energetic applause! All sales are final. Drew Dunn & Friends: Homecoming
Drew Dunn returns to his hometown of Nashua, NH for the Holidays to perform at the Nashua Center for the Arts. Drew will be joined by a secret lineup of other New England Comedians that moved away and are back in town for the weekend! In 2014, Drew began his stand-up career quickly making a name for himself around New England for his quick wit, voices, and unique style. After winning the Boston Comedy Festival in 2017, he began to perform comedy regularly around the country. In 2018, Drew won the Seattle International Comedy Competition followed by being selected to be a “New Face of Comedy” at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal in 2019. Drew has since continued to headline comedy clubs across the US and Canada while making various types of online content earning millions of views. Drew has a special on Dry Bar Comedy and a set recorded with Don’t Tell Comedy. He has also gained the attention of some of the biggest names in comedy. Most recently, Drew opened for comedy legend, Dane Cook, on his 2023 and 2024 tours. The story of a lonely creature who tries to cancel Christmas by stealing the gifts & decorations from the homes of the nearby town of Whoville on Christmas Eve. This ballet is full of laughter, romance, & an important lesson about the true meaning of the holiday season. Safe Haven Ballet is a professional ballet company, pre-professional school and (501)(c)(3) non-profit that exists to offer free trauma-sensitive ballet, movement and art classes to survivors of sexual/domestic violence and trauma, as well as create uplifting and inspiring ballet performances.
