The Laconia Human Relations Commitee presents their Martin Luther King Celebration “How Has the Legacy of Dr. King Impacted Your Life?” with speaker Dr. Larry Benaquist (film producer), panel discussion, singing by the Power Chords, audience participation and refreshments! Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative presents JUST DUET: BROADWAY STYLE
Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative’s annual fundraising event has a new twist this year! While teams of two still “compete” by performing their favorite musical theatre songs, this year they can pull in a third person for one of their songs and attempt a trio! Funds go to Powerhouse programming and the Colonial Theatre Advancement Fund which supports operations and maintenance of our home – the beautiful historic Colonial Theatre! All Sales are final. United Way of Greater Nashua presents Care-E-Oke
United Way Care-E-Oke Returns! This is a fun, competitive, fundraiser to support a strong community safety net. Join us on stage, or donate to support a participant, or become a sponsor. On 11/15/24 we will be taking the city by storm in this contest, which will be judged by members of the media and local celebrities! All proceeds from the event help United Way to make grants to local organizations which help to keep our great community strong, smart, safe, and healthy! Please note this is General Admission event. Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction: An Evening of Broadway
The Greater Lakes Region Children’s Auction will hold the third annual theatre fundraising event, An Evening of Broadway, on Wednesday August 14 at 7PM at The Colonial Theatre in Laconia. The event is family-friendly, and tickets range from $20 (General Admission) – $30 (Reserved Seating). Individuals are also invited to sponsor a seat for $20 per child to allow children from the Boys and Girls Club and other local nonprofits to attend at no cost. In 2023, we hosted 300 children thanks to our Sponsor a Seat initiative! “We are very excited to be collaborating with local community theatre groups to continue to create this fundraising event,” states Jennifer Kelley, the Auction’s executive director. “Our area is robust with talent, and we are eager to showcase them. We are also thrilled to give kids in need the ability to attend the show at no cost with our Sponsor a Seat initiative.” The show will offer musical performances of all ages from local community theatre, dance groups and the talented Powerchords! Individuals are invited to sponsor a seat for $20 per child to allow children from the Boys and Girls Club and other local non-profits to attend at no cost. The Greater Lakes Region Charitable Fund for Children is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that helps community organizations in the Central New Hampshire region. All donations are tax-deductible. Our mission is to engage the community to financially support children in need with a vision to ensure that every child is empowered to succeed and positively impact a thriving Greater Lakes Region community.
