February 14-16 – LOVE/SICK by John Cariani
Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative presents an unromantic comedy for the romantic in all of us! The evening features ten short plays that look at the highs and lows of relationships from the comedic mind of one of the most produced playwrights, John Cariani. Perfect for Valentine’s Day weekend because some people love to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and others, well, it makes them sick!
May 2-4 – The Hunchback of Notre Dame Book by Peter Parnell, Music by Alan Menken, Lyrics by Stephen Schwarttz
Disney’s epic musical based on Victor Hugo’s classic novel comes to life on the Colonial stage performed by Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative! A lushly scored retelling of a tale of love, acceptance and what it means to be a hero. This production is inspired by the 2019 Notre Dame tragic fire and features dynamic staging and a cast full of musical talent.
August 8-10 – Elf the Musical Book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin, Music by Matthew Sklar, Lyrics by Chad Beguelin
Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative celebrated the holiday season twice in 2025 and the best way to spread holiday cheer is singing loud for all to hear! Welcome to Christmas in August with the hit musical based on the hilarious movie! Powerhouse will raise money at each performance to support the Lakes Region Children’s Auction summer fundraising and its efforts to provide holiday joy to the area’s youth. So embrace your inner elf and join Buddy for this funny and heart-warming family friendly musical.
October 10-12 – The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, newly adapted by Wendy Kesselman
Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative presents a powerful adaptation of the famous diary in which Anne Frank emerges from history as a living, lyrical, intensly gifted young girl who confronts her rapidly changing life and the increasing horror of her time with honesty, wit, and determination. A powerful reminder of the dangers of unfettered nationalism and the individuals who suffer the consequences.
December 11-14 – A Christmas Carol adapted by Joel Mercier
Powerhouse Theatre Collaborative is excited to once again bring this Holiday classic to Laconia. This original adaptation by NH native Joel Mercier features a bright score, some twists and turns in the plot, stunning costumes, special effects, and some frightful ghosts, all while staying true to Dickens’ original novella.
A Lakes Region holiday tradition, featuring granite state actors of all ages, this is sure to get you into the holiday spirit!
